The name Leathad (pronounced ‘lay-had’) is Gaelic for ‘gentle slope’: the same slope that inspired us to design the house ‘upside-down’ because of its breathtaking position. Pick a window - the choice is yours, from either floor - and enjoy a different panorama of the upper reaches of Strathspey, in the Cairngorm National Park.

So ... lounge upstairs in comfort, or relax downstairs in one of its three main bedrooms, consisting of 2 doubles and 1 twin. (There is also a double sofabed in the ‘snug’ adjoining the main open-plan living area, allowing up to 8 people to stay altogether.) Whatever your choice, the whole house benefits from a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly heating and lighting system that makes it cosy at any time of year.

In short: be lazy; be sociable; be active - or any combination in between - we promise you will not be disappointed.
